Fisk Jubilee Singers who stayed, and bountiful “B”s.

It’s been a while since we reported on some of the new entries that have been added but that doesn’t mean nothing has been happening. If you haven’t already read it there is a piece on the Milner and Thompson tokens in the Features section.

As far as personal entries goes, there are new entries for three Fisk Jubilee Singers, (Hamilton Hodges, E. R. Martin and R. B. Williams) who decided to settle in New Zealand and went on to have very different careers.  Louis Tutschka was another who came with a touring theatre company before deciding to settle and W. H. Reed was both a variety musical theatre performer and a photographer.

If you would like to browse one section, there are numerous new entries in the “B’s”  – find out some more about Harriet Barlow, James Beck, Sister Mary Cecilia Benbow, Tom Bosworth, George Brownlee and Frederick Burry amongst others.
